Almost done with the trip to Grinnell! Today is Ben and Eli's birthday, which

I still can't believe we managed to be here for despite not planning for it.

Yesterday we spent all day at Adventureland with Kurt and everyone. It was

nice seeing Kurt again, though I'm not sure how much time I could spend with

him. He very much lives in the moment, maybe, and feels like he's always

selling the current best thing to you. I don't know if that's fair. I'm

trying to understand what it is about certain folks where your gears mesh and

everything just makes sense, while there are other people where you just

struggle to find common ground. In any case, it was hard to find common

ground with Kurt Montgomery but it was still great see him.
