22:52 Snow
Today was marked by a snow storm that moved through. The worst of it wasn't too bad, but it's a heavy wet snow and now it's raining outside. Thankfully I've already cleared up much of the driveway so it shouldn't be too much work tomorrow morning.
Emma is having a really rough go of it in this trimester. I know that Emma does better when things are made special, and I wonder if feeling bad sucks, but the fact that this is the fourth kid and there just isn't the same "drop everything, we're pregnant" mindset now. I, at least, have had a much more laid back approach, and I wonder if that's not giving her the energy she needs.
I'm also worried that Emma doesn't really have anything to do per se. There are household things, but those are easily put off. With Jane, she was working at the library, and while I know that sucked to a large degree, it was also something to do. In many ways I don't know how to interact with Emma on issues like this, because I have a mental atitude that says sometimes things suck and you push through it, which almost sounds like an Arrested Development quote. Yet, I'm sure she feels terrible. If I were in her position, I don't know how I would handle it. But I do know that I do better when things are a little out of whack if I have something I *have* to do to take my mind off it. Suggesting that at dinner tonight made it clear that was not an option for her. So I'm stuck.
