Leaving Grinnell today was not terribly difficult. Asa seemed to have a great

time with Ben and Eli, but when it was time to go it seemed like Eli was

having a harder time. Both of them were so much more energy than Asa. I wasn't

totally sure what to do with it. We played Port Royal Board Game at one point,

and Eli tried to cheat and walked away a few times, while neither of them

seemed to pick up on the rules very quick.

I think we kinda get the kids we raise, and they are just being raised really

differently from our kids. I also suspect a lot of it has to do with Emma's

influence, as both Mary and I are Powells and there's just something about us

that tends towards the easy and/or efficient way of doing things.
