Not quite finished, but dinner calls. The copy_cms_measures command has been

cleaned up a lot, but it still duplicates CDS for a given year for some reason.

DONE [#A] Hypertension measure numerator error

@workcdscqmsSWAT1326

CLOSED:

:LOGBOOK:

CLOCK: -- => 0:12

:END:

https://elationhealth.atlassian.net/browse/SWAT-1326

Steps to reproduce

1. Add hypertension to Dx

2. Create a VN with BP 139/80

3. Numerator should be trigger, but is not

Notes

Turns out this measure is working, but the Hypertension Dx has to have been at

least 6 months prior to the measurement being taken. If you move the Dx out

past six months, the numerator triggers successfully.

DONE Think about the migration issues with the sharedfile switch

Andrew asked me to think through the issues that came up with migrations on

master around the SharedFile migration.

Notes

+ Moving complicated data models around

+ Tried not to clutter the commit tree with lots of little changes while fixing

data migration

+ One thing that made this more painful than it needed to be was not keeping

baseline up to date with the migration changes

+ So when master went to rebuild the baseline, it found the migrations run out

of order and the data in the right place

+ It was easy enough to fix, but I need to make updating baseline easier

+ To that end, I've developed a bunch of fish functions that allow me to very

quickly create blank baseline db images, update data, and push

+ I've done it a few times now to great effect

More snow this morning ... it's all melting as it hits the ground, but it's like

a cruel joke. We've had snow this later, for sure, but it doesn't make it okay.

Weather aside, I woke up to a ping from Andrew that he wants to do a check in at

noon. I don't know if this is a make-up one-on-one because he was out last week,

or if he has some important news to convey. Pretty much my default mode when a

supervisor wants to talk is to assume the worst. I probably should just go about

my day per usual.

On top of that, I have a school event that I'm missing stand up for this

afternoon and then we are supposed to talk with Peter this afternoon about where

we go from here. Meriby has offered to host him in Cali for a time, and that may

be his best choice. Emma said that talking with her mom last night, Peter felt

he had been stupid (would have been nice to be apologetic), wasn't sure what

the best case scenario was, but thought the worst case scenario might be

homelessness. So he sort of understands the gravity.

I have to keep bringing myself back to the most objective facts I can muster,

namely that he is incapable of following the rules of the house, self harms, and

does not understand that there is a world outside of himself. The more I turn

that over, the more a residential facility makes sense. I don't know how much I

believe he can be made functional through that, but he could maybe be made

passably respectful of other people so as not to burn bridges.

---

Well, I got laid off from Elation today. Andrew said I wasn't contributing

enough with a small team to be beneficial. Not totally sure how I feel. On the

one had, fuck. On the other hand, I've been through this before.

---

The most difficult part of being laid off is trying to figure out why it

happened. Andrew looked really dour when he told me, and Nico was really

dispassionate. I don't know which was better. Before I got kicked out of slack I

told Andrew I was sorry he had to make that call, and that I really enjoyed

working with him. He said he genuinely enjoyed working with me as well. But

apparently I just wasn't getting enough done.

I suspect that there was more to this than meets the eye. As a FTE with

benefits, I'm sure I cost a hell of a lot more than many of the contractors who

were hired after me. In fact, looking around, there were a lot of contractors,

and I wonder if a lot of the need was to have a work force that was more easily

terminate-able when funding dries up.

Part of me wondered if the call this morning was Andrew leaving. Alas.
