12:35 Action

You can't take action on everything. Thinking through what to do with all the

"learn to" todos aI have and all the "read" or "think about" ones I have as

well, it occurs to me that you can't remember, or process or learn everything you

come across.

So what am I to do with everything? In GTD, I believe the goal would be to

create action plans for implementing things that are projects and then

prioiritize them. Then, when you have downtime or a lull, go through the someday

list and pull the top one off the list that you are enabled to do.

Sometimes a project requires money, or the right resources, or the right person.

And other times, a project isn't obvious. But can you "projectize" an idea or a

desire to learn something? Or what about a reading?

What if when you choose to read something, you went through a process of reading

where you attempt to actually internalize it. And if you're not doing that, just

walk away?

22:07 Guests

Felt like we officialy stayed our welcome in Athol today. There were a lot of

screens throughout the day, and Jens seemed pretty put out with dinner. I ended

up hanging out with Nabby for large chunks of the late morning and afternoon,

mostly with her sleeping on me. Which was fine, but lent the entire day a

"sedentary" quality.

I think I might have preferred to leave this afternoon rather than cutting it

close with the selectboard meeting tomorrow. But it has been nice being here.

It's been neat getting to know Sebastian better and seeing how all the kids

interact. So far, what I've got to go on with teenagers is Peter and Sam and

that wasn't the healthiest relationship.

Watching the kids here communicate and help each other, or twit each other, or

ask what the other is doing has been really neat.
