Journal

Got a late start on running today, but it's been a beautiful morning. After the

thunderstorms yesterday fizzled, today looks really clear and much cooler than

the past few days, at least along the coast.

Had some fun interactions with folks at 15Five yesterday as well. Pols posted

something about slow living and I added that I live on a farm in rural Maine and

she got really excited. Sometimes I forget that not everyone lives like we do.

I suppose the real revelation is that, unlike at other startups, the folks at

15Five seem to have a genuine curiousity for what other people do.

Today was sort of a funky day. Emma seemed kinda put out about something in the

afternoon, but I couldn't really figure it out. I also got my laptop for my new

job, and so was sort of half paying attention to a lot of things.

That said, while Emma went to pick up Kember I had some nice time with Asa and

Silas helping them put away clothes and then doing some reading from One Morning

in Maine and the illustrated atlas Silas loves.

Ultimate tonight was a success too. I had some really dumb drops and mistakes

early in the game, but was able to recognize that I was just over-focusing on

things and had a much better second half. We ended up winning 15-10 v Crimson.
