09:09 Selectmen?
Why do I want to be a selectmen? Desire to serve my town as an elected official. Committee work is fine, but I'd like to represent more than a single task. Questions I have for Jim include what to expect, day to day work of a selectmen in town manager governance. Ability to genuine promote change or new ideas. I genuinely believe that the town will benefit from governance by a younger, family-oriented member of the community. The challenges facing young people in rural Maine are unique, and I have direct experience both with my own life and secondary experience of friends and business partners.
Popularity issues in town might make things more difficult. We are notorious in town for keeping animals and having trouble keeping them fenced. That has not been an issue for a while, but is still a concern, as I'm sure there are people with hard feelings about how we handled the cemetery issue and with pigs getting out.
