It's finally going to rain today. A colossaly dry summer so far has collided

with our general lack of effort towards the farm and really, at this point,

nothing is growing very well. Our peas are in but we haven't harvested any.

Our kale and cabbage are stunted and our tomatoes are struggling as well.

Hopefully the rain today works well. On the plus side, I finally ordered a

well pump and expansion tank for the pump house. So if nothing else, we should

have a decent water system for the future.

Time to get back on track. With Emma gone this weekend, I was hanging out with

the kids. I wasn't as effective at cleaning things as I hoped I would be, and

I also fell off the wagon on eating quite a bit. But it's time to get serious

about running, eating and making a plan for my day that I can feel good about.
