Discovered the #protips section of Doom Emacs discord this evening! Holy crap there's a lot of cool stuff in here. I feel like I'm going to spend a long time just trying to learn this stuff.

I finally got org-roam fixed today. The funny thing is I'm not actually sure what was broken. I went a removed a bunch of IDs from various org files but it didn't immediately have an effect. Then I deleted the roam database file and re-ran the indexer and :boom: it all worked.

So hopefully I can back to being productive now. That was a rough few days without being able to take accurate notes.

I'm still not totally sure I'm doing this thing right. I tend to create new topics for all kinds of crazy shit, and I know that's not the best. But it is working better than any other system, so I'm going to stick with it for a bit.

The more interesting thing is looking back at all the myriad ways I've used org and emacs in the past for journaling and notes. Easily the worst experiment was everything in one giant file for personal and work. That 15five.org file was a dumpster :fire:

Did a pretty comprehensive job with this today. The chickens were given the pasture the goats had been on and the goats got a new area behind where they were. I was talking with Emma Sweet the other day about doubling down on the idea of being Grass Farmers which Joel Salatin espouses. I think that's true, and now that we have fewer ruminants we can really take our time on the land that we have.

Chased this one around a little until Andrii suggested checking with Caleb about celery issues being the cause. Turns out that's exactly what the problem was and the import ran fine, just an hour or so late.

We're in a bad way with Celery.

This turned out quite nice! I got my VO_{2}Max back up around 55 on Runalyze with this run. It helps to go shorter distances. I still believe I am suffering from Heart Rate Drift and should probably be doing a better job hydrating as I go on longer runs.
