About a year ago, the Library wanted to have the ability to accept donations
through the Library website. We opened (with Selectboard approval) a
separate savings account with minimum balance to not have service charge
($100) with PayPay attached to that. I was not intimately involved in the
procedure of how it was done, but I know they hired Michelle Keyo to "add
the buttons". Michelle also helps us with our website. Note that in the
year the account has been open, there have been no donations made thru it.

Journal
Snow day today! A nor'easter is coming through most of today and the kids don't
have school. Mostly it's a lot of wind a very powdery snow. It appears that we
so far have about 4 inches, but with the wind it's hard to gauge.
Given that, I've had a pretty good day focusing on work. Yet my mind is kinda
pulled in a few directions as I try to support getting an objectives feature out
the door while also working on custom attributes.

I didn't get a lot of time with the kids today. Something about them never
actually being out of the house meant I didn't feel the need to be present with
them as much. It also didn't help that Kember and Kenslee ended up hanging out
in the afternoon while Heather went up to Bucksport for something. That meant
the kids were mostly hanging out with each other.
That gave me a chance to hangout with Emma in the kitchen a little while she
finished up dinner. I also managed to finish Disgrace this evening. That book
went really fast.
Otherwise it was a pretty productive day. I got some good work done on custom
attributes and also tackled hanging up a load of laundry and getting a load of
rag laundry started. I'm starting to develop a weekly cadence. Mondays are town
meeting days with a few one-on-ones at work. Tuesdays are head-down days.
Wednesday are meeting days. Thursday is another heads-down day, with the
occasional meeting. And Fridays are generally light work and take off early
days.
I also made some significant strides towards learning D&D to play with Gabe. It
turns out that there's an Essentials Kit that includes instructions for running
a DM + 1 player adventure that involves a lot of NPCs that follow you around.
The more I think about this, the more fun it seems like it should be. Gabe's got
some experience creating characters and such. I'm not sure how keen he'd be on
DM'ing, but I love the idea of being more creative and creating stories rather
than consuming them.
