Enjoyed a first round of Periodic Board Game with Asa and Silas. For
some reason, all the kids got dressed up in fancy clothes today. So I was
playing with Asa in a blazer and Silas in a full suit with a tie, which was
pretty funny. Otherwise it was a reasonably productive day. I got a little
more bug squashing with the Django 4 upgrade in platform-core, but got stuck
with bad dependencies in CI. For some reason, CI can't always find the correct
version of an internal library, even though it definitly exists on our AWS
cheeseshop.
So that was a little frustrating. But I was also able to build a rudimentary video scrobbler to go with Jellyfin.

Today's distraction from work was trying to get flox setup as a video
scrobbler on Jellyfin. Unfortunately, the project seems less targeted at
tracking plays and watches, and more at curating content. But I've got an idea
now for a really simple scrobbler for video in the spirit of multi-scobbler
that would just check plays and store them in a database. Frontends can come
later:

I got a pretty late jump on today. Emma didn't come down until well after 9
and I was up late, so I didn't wake up until about then anyhow. I then set to
reading the next chapter in The Lies of Locke Lamora, which I am finally
getting to finish and quite enjoying. But that means I have 45 minutes till
standup and not a ton to show for myself.
