Journal
It's a gray day outside. The sky is slate and featureless. I'd love to say these
sorts of days don't affect me, but the reality is different. I tend to be lower
energy and less enterprising on days like this. It has taken me a while to learn
this about myself.
That said, there's still plenty going on today. We have a soil analyst coming
today to scope out space for a leach field. Bill Hutchins came by yesterday to
survey where we might put a new septic tank. He was flabbergasted by the lack of
suitable sites. There are just so many rocks and tall trees in our backyard. He
also told Emma that they can't put the leach field in fill, so much of the
backyard simply wont work.
