On Sunday, while we were hanging out with Amanda and Dirk for Memorial Day, Emma got a call that [[file:20210601135116-jessica_rollerson.org][Jessica Rollerson]] had a medical emergency while on Isleboro spending time with a new friend. It took a while to figure out exactly what happened, but eventually it came out that she was being LifeFlight lifted off the island and that she was not in good shape. Her friend said she'd had an episode and was not conscious.

By the time we found out she had been taken to EMMC, we also heard she had had an aneyursm and was unlikely to retain conciousness. So within a few hours we were in Bangor and heard that they had run all the tests the could except one and were pretty sure she would never recover. Technically she hasn't died yet, but only because she's a registered organ donor and they need to keep her on a ventilator until that process is done. She'll likely die on Thursday once everything is taken care of.
